Glenn Leland

Chief Growth Officer

Glenn Leland manages mergers and acquisitions, business development, sales and marketing for Priority Ambulance. With more than 35 years of experience in leadership and strategy at national and international EMS companies, he specializes in strategies to integrate companies into the Priority Ambulance network and to drive revenue growth.

Leland serves on the corporate support integration team that assists local teams on system design and startup operations. Throughout his career, Leland has worked either directly overseeing operations, or in a corporate support capacity for public utility model EMS systems , including EMSA, MedStar, MASDT, SunStar and TRAA.

Leland began his career as an EMT, paramedic and educator. He was a protégé of Jack Stout and president of the EMS consulting firm The Fourth Party, responsible for many EMS management innovations. Leland is a thought leader on EMS and associate professor at the Graduate Health Sciences College at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Leland gained experience in growing ambulance services at American Medical Response (AMR) as executive vice president of strategy. During the early phases of growth from 1994 to 2005, he developed strategies that exponentially grew the company’s revenue. He later rejoined the company as senior vice president of EMS from 2009 to 2012.

From 2007 to 2009, he served as chief operating officer of Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), an agency serving 1.4 million residents of Oklahoma with more than 135,000 emergency calls annually.

From 2012 to 2015, Leland served as chief strategy officer for ProTransport-1, which serves California counties with integrated health care and transport services. From January 2015 to 2016 he served as chief executive officer of TransCare, an EMS and medical transport company based in New York City with operations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York. He joined Priority Ambulance in early 2016.
