Director of Community Relations
In his role with St. Charles County Ambulance District, Kyle Gaines oversees public safety programs, community engagement efforts and media relations.
Since joining the SCCAD team in 2008, Kyle has worked to develop and deepen the District’s ties to organizations of all types in St. Charles County. Thanks to the collaborative spirit embraced by the community’s school districts, chambers of commerce, civic organizations, church groups, senior living communities and many others, District programs like Rapid Access, Halloween Safety and Child Safety Seat Installation Assistance are well-utilized by residents of SCCAD’s service area.
Since 2016, Kyle has worked closely with his team to develop #StopHeroin, a SCCAD initiative aimed at bringing increased awareness of the opiate epidemic. Community organizations and media partners have been instrumental in this initiative’s success, and it has since become a model that other EMS agencies have replicated with success.
In his down time, Kyle and his wife, Carrie, enjoy exploring all the St. Louis region has to offer with their five-year-old daughter, Addison.
