Daniel J. Pedersen is a Pennsylvania-based attorney with nearly 25 years experience in health-care law, 20 of which involve representing the EMS industry. Daniel largely focuses his areas of practice on Medicare reimbursement, Federal law compliance, and HIPAA. Daniel saved dozens of clients millions of dollars by pursuing successful Medicare appeals in post-payment audits (most of which involved the use of extrapolation). Daniel also has experience in assisting clients with OIG related matters, including government-initiated investigations and making proactive refunds through the OIG self-disclosure protocol.

Daniel authored numerous articles which have appeared in EMS Journals. He is a frequent lecturer at EMS conferences and events. Daniel is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College (1998) and the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University (2001).
