Jeannie Mekley serves as the EMS Chief for the El Paso Fire Protection District and has dedicated more than 26 years to EMS. She began her EMS journey as a volunteer EMT-B and went on to become a Paramedic, holding leadership roles such as Flight Team Supervisor and Ground Critical Care Ambulance Administrator. Jeannie is passionate about advancing EMS, serving her community, and leading by example. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys camping, biking and kayaking.
