Joanne Piccininni, EdD, NRP, MICP is the Paramedic Science Program Director and Assistant Professor at Bergen Community College in Lyndhurst New Jersey. She is a practicing Paramedic in northern New Jersey, a member of NAEMT, NAEMSP, a member and mentor for Women in Emergency Services (WiES) and passionate about EMS education. Joanne has served as an instructor and Affi liate Faculty for NAEMT education programs, is the NAEMT Education Coordinator for New Jersey, and a 2023 recipient of the NAEMT Presidential Leadership Award. She is a content author for several NAEMT courses including PHTLS 10e and GEMS. She also serves as a mentor for WiES and a charter member of the New Jersey Chapter. Joanne serves as a member of the NAEMT Education Committee and the chair of the PHT Committee. She completed a doctorate in education (EdD) through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, completed a BA in Political Science from Montclair State University, and an MBA from Columbia Southern University.
