Jon R. Krohmer, MD, FACEP, FAEMS is the CEO/Principal of EMSMD, PLLC and the Chair of the Prehospital Blood Transfusion Coalition. He started his almost 50-year EMS career as a volunteer EMT. He has previously served as the Director, USDOT NHTSA Office of EMS, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer of the US DHS Office of Health Affairs and the EMS Medical Director for Caroline County (MD) Department of Emergency Services and Kent County (MI) Emergency Medical Services. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, Michigan State University and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, Western Michigan University. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services.
