Jonnathan Busko MD, MPH, MBA, FACEP
Jonnathan Busko is a board-certified Emergency Medicine and EMS physician with over 30 years of experience in medicine. He worked as a paramedic in rural Ohio, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania and was a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Medical Specialist. Jonnathan received MD and MPH degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA from the University of Maine, a graduate certificate in Community Preparedness and Emergency Management from the University of North Carolina, and completed a Rural Health Fellowship with the National Rural Health Association. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical Center and an EMS / Disaster Fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center. Jonnathan was the Maine EMS Region 4 medical director for 12 years and is now the hospital representative to the Maine EMS Community Paramedicine Subcommittee and the medium-sized hospital representative to the Trauma Advisory Committee. He was the St. Joseph Hospital ED Medical Director for 5 years and is now the Medical Director of Care Delivery Transformation. He is the lead consultant for the “Critical Access Physician Extender” project, a shared workforce physician extension telemedicine pilot project that provides advanced practice paramedic facilitated tele-urgent care services in Jackman, Maine. Jonnathan is also the Technical Rescue Czar for the Veazie Fire Department, Director of Lift Evacuation and Technical Rescue for the Hermon Mountain Ski Patrol, and the Medical Director for North East Mobile Health Services and the Hudson Fire Department.
